Electric Fields

Motion of a charged particle in a uniform electric field.
This video is aimed at helping high school physics students in getting their grips with the motion of charges and electric fields .
We will be working on an exercise inspired by a past paper that deals with the motion of a charged particle (a proton) in a uniform electric field located between two charged plate.

Mechanics

Impulse, Momentum, Energy, Forces, Friction and Graphing Motion.
This video is aimed at helping high school physics students in getting their grips with some fundamental notions of mechanics.
I will show you how to apply these notions on an exercise inspired by a past paper by detailing the resolution thought process

Nuclear Physics 1

Energy and momentum in a nuclear decay
This video is aimed at helping high school physics students understand decay series and then more specifically, alpha decay.

In the exam-inspired exercise proposed, we will also determine the energy released in an alpha decay and calculate the effect on the motion of the resultant nucleus.

Nuclear Physics 2

Decay curves, activity and half-life
This video is aimed at helping students preparing diplomas that include Nuclear Decay in their cursus.
In this video, we will be working on an exercise inspired by a past exam that deals with the alpha decay of Polonium into Lead. By analyzing a decay curve, we will be reviewing the concepts of the half-life and activity of a radioactive sample.

Waves and Diffraction

Double slit, interference patterns and diffraction gratings.
This video is aimed at helping high school physics students in getting their grips with diffraction through a double slit.
We will apply these concepts on an exercise inspired by a past paper that will visit the basic notions of an EM wave. By doing so, we will be discussing about what happens when the light passes through 1/ a double slit experiment, and 2/ a diffraction grating.

Electric Forces & Newton’s Laws

Forces on charged spheres.
Because it blends two important areas of physics (Mechanics and Electrostatics), this training video is ideal to prepare for a high school physics exam (A-Level, IB, AP etc.)
This past paper exercise deals with two charged spheres which are in translational equilibrium under the influence of repulsive coulomb forces, tension and their respective weight.

Circular Motion

A selection of exam exercises involving circular motion.
This training session is aimed at IB (SL or HL) or A-Level students preparing for their high school exams. It presents three exam level exercises that combine circular motion with mechanics, conservation of energy and friction.

Oscillations & Energy Production

Simple harmonic motion & hydraulic energy
This training session is aimed at IB (SL or HL) or A-Level students preparing for their high school exams. It presents an exercise that combines simple harmonic motion (IB: Chap 4, A-Level: topic 13) and the concept of energy production (IB: Chap 2 and 8, A-Level: topic 2).

Atomic Physics

Energy levels of a hydrogen atom.
This exam training session is focused on an exercise inspired by a past paper, and that deals with calculations related to atomic energy levels and emission spectra. This video is aimed at IB (SL or HL) or A-Level physics students preparing for their high school exams.
